It's all change in the Bracken Rothwell tennis series

The boys played qualifying boxes to split them into main and consolation draws. Louis Keenan, who up to this event had been undefeated, was knocked out of the main draw by Riley Becker 8-7 in a neck and neck match.

Meanwhile in the top half of the draw, Andrew Becker ousted last month’s runner-up Freddie Bracken-Smith 6-5. Eddie Rothwell made the main draw for the first time in the series and saw off Finley Thomson and then Riley Becker to reach the main draw final.

First time entrant, Joel Mckinlay looked unfazed on his way to the final beating Alistair Webster 12-5 then Andrew Becker 8-4. Joel then went on to win the final against Eddie 13-7.  The 3rd/4th play-off was the battle of the Becker brothers in which Riley beat Andrew 7-6. The consolation event was won by Hugo MacLean beating Charlie Pallot 11-5.

Despite his early exit from the main draw, on this occasion, Louis Keenan has maintained his overall lead in the series on 180 points with Andrew Becker and Freddie Bracken-Smith current tying for the runner up slot on 120 points.
